Community Caring Monterey Peninsula works to educate society’s “forgotten children” by teaching values through action. We direct our programs toward society’s middle-of-the-pack children, defined as the middle 50%, those who are not privileged to have access to either the social programs directed at the 25% who are least fortunate or the 25% who have access to a better than average array of non-school enrichment. Many times these are the kids who want to be noticed, but don’t raise their hands.
We work to close the gap from the classroom to the community by providing the missing enrichment elements to grades K-12 that foster a balance of scholastic, service-minded and social sets which can be carried from adolescence toward success in adulthood.
Classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since 1999.
